Two youths were arraigned Friday in Rensselaer City Court on charges stemming from an investigation into a series of burglaries in the city of Rensselaer.
A 17-year-old Rensselaer youth was charged with 13 counts second-degree burglary, while a 16-year-old from Troy was charged with nine counts of second-degree burglary, police said.
The defendants' names were not released, police said, because both are eligible for youthful offender status.
The two were remanded to Rensselaer County Jail without bail pending further court appearance.
Police investigated a total of 13 break-ins at dwellings in the city of Rensselaer between Oct. 23, 1985, and March 3, 1986.
