TATTOOIST CHARGED WITH FRAUD.(Capital Region)

ALBANY -- The owner of a Madison Avenue tattoo parlor has been charged with two felonies for allegedly continuing to ink customers after he swore to the state Insurance Fund that his hand hurt too much to work.

Scott Sawyer, 36, the owner of Addicted to Ink Tattoo, allegedly collected $2,200 in workers' compensation benefits while he kept up his artistry at his shop, according to the Insurance Fund.

This despite the fact that Sawyer had signed a sworn statement saying he was in too much pain to continue working, authorities said.
